The Church was founded by Teyrnog a sixth century Saint, who's brother Deifor founded the Church at Bodfari, and whose sister Marcella, founded the Church at Whitchurch, Denbigh.

The church is located in the heart of the village of Llandyrnog, in the beautiful Vale of Clwyd.
